PR Account Director

I am currently working with a number of PR agencies in Leeds who work across a range of different industries.

Due to this, I am looking to speak to dynamic and experienced PR Account Director's or tenured Senior PR Account Managers looking to take a step up in their career.


About you:

The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a proven track record in leading PR campaigns, managing client relationships, and driving business growth. As an Account Director, you will be responsible for overseeing multiple client accounts, providing strategic counsel, and leading a team of talented PR professionals. Ideally, somebody who has worked in Digital PR or open to learn more about Digital PR, with a strong track record in traditional methods too.


Responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary point of contact for key client accounts, maintaining strong relationships and understanding their business objectives, industries, and PR needs.

• Develop and implement strategic PR plans and campaigns that align with client goals and deliver measurable results.

• Lead a team of PR account managers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure high-quality deliverables and client satisfaction.

• Drive new business initiatives by identifying opportunities for organic growth within existing accounts and actively participating in pitches and proposals.

• Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and media landscapes to identify opportunities for clients and stay ahead of the curve in PR strategies.

• Manage budgets, resources, and timelines effectively to ensure successful project execution and campaign delivery.

• Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments within the agency to integrate PR efforts with broader marketing strategies.


Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or related field. A Master's degree is a plus.

• Proven experience in a PR agency setting, with a focus on account management and client relations.

• Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and mentor a team.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a keen eye for detail.

• Demonstrated success in developing and implementing PR strategies that drive brand awareness and achieve client objectives.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and manage competing priorities effectively.

• Existing network and relationships within the PR and media industry are highly advantageous.
